How JD.com Is Improving Commerce Throughout Mainland China

Chinese retail giant Jingdong, also known as JD.comhas been hard at work modernizing package delivery and overall commerce throughout mainland China. Many smaller companies are now using their “JD Cloud Warehouse Management Solution” to bring their supply chains up to modern standards.

 

This initiative was launched last winter. JD.com offers proprietary software and their years of managing supply chains to upgrade an entire existing warehouse management system. JD.com is pursuing a service strategy when it comes to retail which involves offering their technology and infrastructure to other firms. Another way they are helping other companies is by helping them lease space in other company’s warehouses that have underutilized space inside of them.

 

Another way other companies can benefit from JD.com’s expertise is by co-branding with them and using their same-day or one-day delivery service. The packages they ship in this manner are stamped as “Delivered by JD Logistics” on Jingdong’s e-commerce website. 90 percent of what this company ships can reach its destination anywhere in China within a day, often on the same day.

 

JD.com also offers a smart supply chain open solution to their merchant partners. This technology incorporates big data which helps their partners figure out how much inventory demand and supply they will be experiencing in the coming days and weeks. This helps the merchants operate at peak efficiency.

 

A further service they provide to their partner merchants is training programs. The merchant’s employees and managers learn how to improve both their operational standards and how they assess product sales. So far more than 100 small and mid-sized companies have partnered with JD.com and its’ warehouse management system. Most of these are in China’s third and fourth-tier cities such as Hangzhou, Chongqing, Wuhan, and Harbin. One of Jingdong’s partners, Juzi, upgraded its Guangdong warehouse and its orders for things like small appliances and baby gear shot up by 400 percent. They were also able to triple the number of products they sell to consumers.

Victoria Doramus Beats Addiction

Recently moving to LA, after a 45 day stay in Tucson Arizona at a drug rehabilitation facility Victoria Doramus had high hopes of putting her addiction problems behind her. The 26 year marketing and communications expert had no idea this was the beginning of the darkest chapter in her young life so far. Victoria Doramus had not yet realized her addiction was not just a matter of willpower, but a disease and she had a long way to go before she fully understood this important fact of life.

According to IMDB, Victoria Doramus would attempt futilely to move from state to state in an attempt to control her urges. Even going as far as relocating to London England to study marketing in 2012. A short four years later, Victoria Doramus would check herself in for the second time to a drug abuse rehabilitation center this time in Connecticut. Enduring 60 days in the rehab this time, Victoria felt she was ready to move on with her life.

Now living in New York, Victoria Doramus now had two rehab terms under her belt, but still found herself struggling with her demons. At one point Victoria was taking a bottle of amphetamine a day, an addiction that started when she was 15. Despite the obvious signs of being in desperate need of help with her addiction, Victoria was still determined to handle this on her own. Finding herself homeless and had hit rock bottom, Victoria (@victoriadoramus) was arrested in 2016 and found herself alone with no friends or family for support.

Victoria Doramus checked herself into what would be the third rehab center in five years, this time in Dallas Texas at the Burning Tree. The Burning Tree takes an entirely different approach than the two previous rehabs Victoria attended. Today Victoria has successful applied what she learned at the Burning Tree to get her life back on track, and is currently working with others struggling with addiction.
